Participatory Budgeting

In 2025, Labor of Change hosted community idea generation sessions as part of the NYC Civic Engagement Commission’s The People’s Money program - where we chatted about ideas to make our city one that is more caring, safe, and affordable.

Participatory budgeting is a democratic process through which community members decide directly how to spend a portion of a public budget.
