No More 24

Labor of Change is part of the Aint I a Woman Coalition and supports the No More 24 campaign, which is fighting to end the practice of requiring home care workers to work 24-hour shifts.

Many workers (primarily immigrant women of color) face exhausting schedules that can impact their health, well-being, and ability to care for themselves and their families. No worker should be expected to work around the clock.

Delivery Protection Act

Labor of Change is part of the fight to pass the Delivery Protection Act. Backed by Mayor Zohran Mamdani and sponsored by Council Member Tiffany Cabán, it aims to require major last-mile delivery operators like Amazon to directly employ their core delivery workers instead of relying on third-party subcontractors

Community Opportunity Purchase Act

COPA is urgently needed to address the housing crisis and keep working-class New Yorkers in New York City. COPA will give community land trusts and other qualified nonprofit affordable housing organizations, including joint ventures, a first opportunity to purchase certain at-risk multifamily buildings when landlords decide to sell. COPA will stabilize buildings in greatest need of preservation, combat speculation and displacement, and expand the supply of permanently affordable, community- and tenant-controlled housing.
